With Memorial Day coming up on Monday, there will be several offices and businesses that will be closed in Jefferson.

Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Greene County ISU Extension office, Jefferson Public Library, Greene County Chamber office, Greene County Community Center and the Jefferson Post Office will all be closed. Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson City staff reminds residents that garbage routes will be delayed by one day due to the holiday. Mondays routes will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will be pushed to Wednesday. Wednesday’s routes will be done on Thursday, and Thursday routes will be on Friday. Garbage routes will go back to normal schedules the following week. Residents are reminded to have their garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
