The senior class at Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School was honored Wednesday night at the annual Baccalaureate and Class Night reception. Several seniors received scholarships and other honors. The senior class received about $85,000 in disclosed scholarship funds.

Notable monetary scholarship recipients include: Christina Hixson Opportunity Award-Maggie Vogl ($4,500/year up to four years); Gary Rees Trust Scholarship-Justin Plowman ($5,000/year up to five years); and the Trudy Straub Scholarship-Hunter Vasey ($2,000). Additionally, 10 graduating seniors received $600 each from the ACGC Booster Club, and each senior received $50 from Dollars for Scholars.

MaKayla Hoing was also recognized as the school’s Governor’s Scholar Award recipient, and Senior Class President Caden Wardyn presented the Senior Key to incoming class president, Noah Nelsen. The presentations concluded with the senior class slideshow.

Commencement at AC/GC is tomorrow at AC/GC High School in Guthrie Center, starting at 1pm.
