The spring edition of the bi-annual Lincoln Highway Junkathon is coming this weekend, and for the first time it will be deviating from Highway 30 for a couple stops in Perry.
Held each year in May and September, the Junkathon features antique sellers ranging from brick and mortar shops to farm buildings, and even some pop-up vendors. The event traditionally has stops in Jefferson including Sensibly Chic, Skeeter Creek Antiques, and Eweniquely Yours, as well as in Boone, Ogden, Paton, and Carroll. This year in addition to those locations, pickers are also encouraged to head to Perry and visit Wenger Auction and Mary Rose Collection. Of course, visitors to Perry on Saturday and Sunday will have the added benefit of it being Antique Days, so there will be even more items to choose from around the downtown area.
The Junkathon starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Hours for Friday and Saturday will be 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday will be 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., unless otherwise specified by the individual shops. Additionally, Antique Days in Perry will run Saturday from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more information about the Junkathon, including specific locations, click the link below to view the event’s Facebook page.
