An Ames man was sentenced to probation in Greene County District Court for a November incident.

According to court documents, 64-year-old Bradley Jon Vanwyk pled guilty to an amended charge of a Class D Felony for third degree burglary. He had his five-year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation with the Department of Correctional Services for three years.

The charge stems from a November 4, 2017 incident. Vanwyk stole tools and other items from Power Lift. All items were then recovered by police from a pawn shop in Ames.

Court documents show that Vanwyk was also ordered to pay court-appointed attorney fees not to exceed $1,200, along with victim restitution of $870 and court costs.
