whiterock conservancyThis weekend, Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids will be hosting two events to encourage walking in nature.

The first is the regularly scheduled Whiterock Outdoor Walk on Friday from 5:30-7:30pm. The walk is free, open to the public, and gives participants a chance to learn about different topics around the conservancy. This month’s topic features habitats of the Middle Raccoon River Valley.

The second is geared more for those who are looking for a way to give back. Saturday from 9am-noon, the conservancy is seeking volunteers to help tidy-up the trails. No prior experience is necessary and all working implements will be provided.

Both events begin at the River Campground. Pre-registration is not required, but is suggested for Saturday. Contact Whiterock for more information.
