The Panora City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
The Council will begin the meeting with discussion and first readings on ordinances that would increase the City’s water and sewer rates. The proposed rate hikes are 5% for water and 3% for sewer, which would be an increase of $2.65 and $0.96 for water and sewer bills respectively. There are also proposed rate changes for the Xenia Rural Water District and Lake Panorama Association. The increases would go into effect on June 15th.
The Council will then seek to approve a contract with Region XII for a Housing Needs Assessment and schedule a public hearing regarding an amendment to the 2017-2018 fiscal budget. Other action items include: discussion on investment of Certificate of Deposit proceeds, a resolution approving standard operating procedures for body worn equipment and electronic equipment/operations for the Panora Police Department, and the first reading of an ordinance amending sidewalk regulations regarding new construction.
The meeting begins at 6:30pm at Panora City Hall.
