A special performance will take place tonight at the Greene County High School auditorium.

Des Moines Metro Opera’s educational troupe, OPERA Iowa, will put on a performance of “The Barber of Seville” tonight at 7pm. It will be sung in English. Jefferson native Kyle Roeder is part of the group. OPERA Iowa is an educational division program of the Des Moines Metro Opera and has performed in ten states and internationally in Japan and China in its 46-year history. They have provided the joy of opera singing to over 850,000 students.

Tonight’s performance is free, due to the sponsorship of Home State Bank, Jefferson Telecom and Wild Rose Casino and Resorts.
