The National Weather Service is predicting more hazardous weather on the way for parts of our listening area.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Greene County to be in effect from 1am to 10pm Wednesday. During the advisory there will be mixed precipitation expected including rain and freezing rain in the overnight and switching to snowfall by Wednesday morning’s commute. Anywhere from two to four-inches of snow, along with up to a quarter-inch of ice maybe expected.
Sleet and freezing rain could make for slick road conditions throughout the day on Wednesday. Motorists are encouraged to drive to the conditions of the road and allow for plenty of time to arrive at your destination safely. Blowing snow will also cause low visibility at times. If motorists encounter plow trucks on the road, please allow for extra space for the plows to remove any snow or ice from the roadways.
