The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.
The Board approved the County Treasurer’s investment report of $6,085,364 for March, along with issuing 339 driver’s licenses last month.
During open forum, County Environmental Health Administrator Chuck Wenthold reminded the Supervisors that they are going to review the master matrix scoring for a proposed hog confinement from Joe and Libby Towers in Highland Township on April 23rd. The public hearing for this is scheduled for April 30th. Wenthold added the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has already made their site visit.
Sheriff Jack Williams brought up a concern about purchasing body cameras. He said the current company, Digital Ally, may not be a company for much longer and is looking to switch to another company. He said the company he wants to switch to is the same one that the Iowa State Patrol has used for the last ten years. Williams thought there was enough money in his budget to make the switch and purchase all new equipment, due to the new company operating under a separate system from Digital Ally.
