ADM Tigers

Weather cost the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls track team another competition with the cancellations of yesterday’s annual Rams Track and Field meet at Greene County High School. With the deadline to qualify for the annual Drake Relays looming later this week, the ADM girls track team is kicking off the competition week this afternoon in the DC-G Fillie Invitational at Dallas Center-Grimes High School. Competitors from Ballard, Carlisle, Creston, Dallas Center-Grimes, Earlham, Grinnell, Indianola, Nevada, and Norwalk will battle on the track for team bragging rights.

The Drake Relays features 16 high school track and field events on the Blue Oval annually including five relays, four individual races, four field events, and two hurdles races. The top 24 high school performances recorded across Iowa before midnight this Friday will receive an invitation to compete at the 2018 Drake Relays, April 26-28 in Des Moines.
