According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie County is expected to get another cold snap this weekend. With the chilly temperatures still around, it offers another great opportunity for a warm bowl of soup. You can do that, and benefit a good cause Saturday at the Cass Pioneers 4-H and Panorama FFA Soup Supper Cookoff.

The cookoff will be from 5-7:30pm and there will be several kinds of soup to try. The supper is $8 for adults and $6 for children 17 and under. The profits from the fundraiser will benefit the March of Dimes. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Raffle tickets can be purchased from any Cass Pioneer member for $5 each or six for $20.
