It’s that time of year again for parents of young children to sign up for three-year-old and prekindergarten programs with the Greene County School District.
The three-year-old program will once again be offered for the 2018-19 school year at Greene County Elementary. It is a tuition-based program that meets two half days per week. Parents that are interested can contact the elementary school at 386-3178 for more information or to sign their child up. A parent meeting will follow in May and tuition assistance is available.
Those parents interested in the prekindergarten program for four-year-olds must attend the registration event on Thursday, April 19th from 3:30 to 7pm at the elementary school. Unlike past years, there will be no parent meeting and no screening process. It is a come-and-go event and parents can attend whenever it fits their schedules. Parents must bring their child’s birth certificate and social security card. Childcare will also be provided that evening. The child must turn four-years-old by September 15th to qualify for the program.
