ACGC’s Head Girls Basketball coach has resigned.
The Guthrie Center School Board accepted Aaron Dose’s resignation at Monday’s regular meeting. In his only season as head coach, Dose led the Chargers to a 2-20 record. He was already the second coach in ACGC’s short history as a combined athletic program, following James Blythe who also spent one year in Guthrie Center.
Dose will be taking a teaching position at another school, though the location remains undisclosed at this time pending contract negotiations. Dose tells Raccoon Valley Radio it will be unclear at this time if he will be coaching varsity athletics. A replacement has also not been named at this time.
Dose becomes the third head coach to resign this school year, following the resignations of former Head Football Coach Mark McDermott and Head Baseball Coach Willie Patti. He was also the Assistant Cross Country Coach.
