Tuesday, April 10th
5:29am: An anonymous caller advised of a Barking Dog near South Wilson and Russell. The officer responded to the area, but did not hear the animal barking.
9:27am: Danielson Auto reported a stray kitten at 101 East Harrison Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
11:38am: An officer arrested Jill Ranae Kanealy, 35 of Jefferson on three outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants. Two warrants were for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” The third warrant was for, “16 Counts of Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” All charges are for reported thefts from Hy Vee at 106 West Washington Street.
1:16pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Life Line Activation in the 200 Block of West Adams Street.
2:22pm: William Davis requested an officer at 102 South Pinet Street for an argument occurring with his juvenile son. The officer arrived and learned the juvenile had just left for a “Cooling Off Period.”
4:39pm: An officer assisted in removing a bat for 2014 East State Street.
5:29pm: An officer was requested at 602 South Elm Street for a reported Assault occurring there. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of a 16-year- old male juvenile for, “Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Serious.” The juvenile was transported from the LEC by juvenile transport officers to a Fort Dodge Facility. A female juvenile sibling was taken to ER for minor injuries from the event.
6:00pm: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in Head Park. The officer made contact with the driver, who advised he was napping before bowling league.
10:40pm: Ken Cavanaogh reported his wife lost her cell phone at the track meet held at 100 Ram Drive. The officer assisted them in locating the lost phone.
