St Pats

The principalship at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Perry is once again up in the air, as Eddie Diaz has announced his resignation effective at the end of the school year.

In a letter sent to teachers and parents on Wednesday, Diaz revealed his intentions to not renew his contract with the school. He didn’t communicate any specific reason for parting ways with the school, nor did he outline any future plans, other than a desire to continue to call Perry home. He did, however, express his thanks to the students, teachers and staff, parish, community, and Bishop Richard Pates for their support in his two years as principal. At this time it’s unknown what route the school will take to fill the position moving forward, but the timing of Diaz’s resignation allows St. Pat’s plenty of time to find a replacement.

Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it’s made official.
