Tuesday, March 27th

4:49am: A deputy requested a Jefferson officer to attempt to make contact with a subject in Jefferson in reference to a vehicle parked on the road near 1464 Kirkwood Ave. The officer made contact with the owner, who advised the vehicle was experiencing mechanical problems.

11:36am: Nick Anderson requested a Welfare Check on his child in Jefferson. The officer made contact with the mother and learned the child was fine.

11:46am: The Greene County Medical Center requested a Welfare Check on a possible suicidal female in the 100 Block of East Central Ave. Officers and the sheriff coaxed the female to ER for evaluation. After clearance from the doctor, the officers arrested Lauren Marie Verle Schulte, 23 of Jefferson for, “Disorderly Conduct – Simple.” Schulte had become disruptive in ER during the event.

4:45pm: An officer checked on an Alarm Activation at 219 East Lincoln Way Street. All was fine at the facility.

7:48pm: Patricia Becker advised of an unwanted male pounding on the door at 309 East Vest Street. The subject left before the arrival of the officer. The officer later contacted the subject and advised him he was not welcome at the residence and not to return.

8:16pm: Phyliss Ashcraft advised of kids playing on the roof of a residence in the 300 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer responded, but did not locate the youngsters.

Wednesday, March 28th

4:08pm: An officer assisted in towing an Abandoned Vehicle from 777 Wild Rosa Lane.

4:29pm: An officer assisted a resident in the 1200 Block of Westwood Drive in gaining access to her residence. She had locked herself out. The officer was able to gain access for her.

5:06pm: An officer investigated a two vehicle Property Damage Accident in the parking lot at 101 Ram Drive. A 2008 Chevy Impala, owned by Mike Bravard and being operated by Elizabeth Bravard of Jefferson, was backing from a parking spot and struck a parked vehicle. The 2014 Chevy Impala was owned by Mike Dennhardt of Rippey. Both vehicles suffered a reported $500.00 to repair. No citation was issued as the event occurred on private property.

6:02pm: Tim Cadden reported an unwanted male on his property at 621 South Cedar Street. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Shawn Allen Ellsbury, 49 of Jefferson for, “Public Intoxication 2nd Offense – Serious.”

6:30pm: Chris Steburg reported the Theft of a chainsaw from 309 Gallop Road. Steburg located the saw before the officer arrived to take the complaint.

6:44pm: Kirk Walker reported a missing yard sign from 406 East Monroe Street.

7:27pm: Doreen Tuhn reported a stray dog running in the area of the 800 Block of West South Street. The officer located the animal, but not get near it to catch it. He attempted to reach a possible owner in the area, but could not locate her.

7:35pm: An officer assisted the jailer and a deputy with an intoxicated, unruly arrestee in the jail.

7:50pm: Jackie Cram reported a vehicle driving past her residence of 402 East Monroe Street, revving the motor as it passes. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

8:38pm: Stephanie Coil reported a dog running loose in the area of the 400 Block of South High Street. The officer did not locate the animal.

9:07pm: Due to the deputy being busy, he requested a Jefferson officer to take a complaint from Desiree Johns at the LEC. Johns reported being a victim to scam involving I Tunes Gift Cards. The officer took the information and passed it to the deputy to follow up on.

9:53pm: Arlene Peed requested an officer check on her adult daughter at 804 West Harrison Street. She believed a Domestic Situation was occurring there. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Justin Anthony Leist, 32 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense – Aggravated and Obstructing an Emergency Communication – Simple.”
