The postseason assignments for all high school boys golf teams were released earlier this month by the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and the organization tabbed West Central Valley as one of Class 2A’s sectional golf tournament hosts. The Wildcats are in charge of hosting the initial postseason tournament on May 11 at the 5×80 golf course near Menlo. West Central Valley will host golfers from AC/GC, AHSTW, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Logan-Magnolia, Panorama, and Van Meter. Should the Wildcats be one of the two lowest scoring teams or have a golfer place in the top three individually, they’ll qualify for the district tournament on May 18 at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. The West Central Valley boys golf team tees off their season Friday in a nonconference triangular against Knoxville and Clarke at the Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville.
