Friday, March 23rd

9:34am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave.

10:23am: The Carroll Police Department requested assistance from a Jefferson officer in locating a vehicle that had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident in Carroll. The subject was believed to be living in Jefferson. The officer checked a few addresses and learned the subject had moved to Coon Rapids. He shared the information with the Carroll officer.

1:20pm: Gail Blum spoke with an officer about a family member receiving unwanted contact from a subject in Missouri. The officer contacted the subject and advised him to end the unwanted contact.

3:47pm: Hy Vee requested an officer at 106 West Washington Street for a reported Theft of alcohol. The officer was provided video of the event. An Arrest Warrant has been requested for Robert Kovar, 33 off Jefferson for, “Theft 5th Degree –Simple.”

5:41pm: Jackie Bauer reported a two-year- old child in a car, unattended at 106 West Washington Street. The officer made contact with the mother when she came out of the business a few minutes later. The officer forwarded the information to DHS.

8:00pm: An unknown subject dropped a cat off at the front counter of the LEC. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.

8:41pm: Lois Custer reported a suspicious male sitting near the roadway in the 1600 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer did not locate the subject.

10:51pm: A deputy requested assistance from a Jefferson officer at 403 Lincoln Street in Scranton for a Domestic Situation.

Saturday, March 24th

2:04am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 200 American Drive. A key holder was contacted and all was determined to be fine at the facility after a walk through.

7:24am: A caller advised of objects in the roadway in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street. The officer removed the items.

11:33am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of North Olive Street.

1:12pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 300 Block of South Cedar Street resulting in Alexander Roberts of Jefferson being cited for, “Violation of a Minor’s School License.”

1:16pm: An officer investigated a “Door Ding” accident at 1004 North Elm Street. A 2004 GMC Yukon, owned and operated by Teresa Ball of Jefferson, door dinged a 2017 Nissan Altima, owned by Darcie Buerer of Ogden. The officer estimated the damage at $750.00.

8:32pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident at 300 North Elm Street. A 2014 Dodge Avenger, owned and operated by Ronald Brubaker of Carroll, was backed into in the parking lot. The other vehicle involved left the area after the accident. Witnesses provided the officer with information on the other driver and his vehicle description. The officer located the vehicle at 400 South High Street and spoke to the owner. The 2006 GMC Sierra is owned by Clifton Long and was operated by Marcus Long of Jefferson. Long advised he was unaware he backed into the vehicle at the A&W. The long vehicle did not have any reported damage, while the Brubaker vehicle had a reported $750.00 in damages. No citation was issued as the accident occurred on private property.

10:58pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on 220th, near Pioneer. Cayla Dehoet of Jefferson was cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Sunday, March 25th

3:37am: While on patrol, an officer located a driver on 220th Street cross the centerline. The officer followed the vehicle out of Jefferson, eastbound on 220th Street, for observation. The officer performed a Traffic Stop on 220th Street at Pioneer Ave. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Nicholas Carter Rice, 19 of Rippey for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious and Possession of Alcohol by Underage Person –Simple.”

8:03am: The Cobblestone Hotel requested an officer at 771 Wild Rose Lane for a vehicle parked under the Hotel awning and the driver was refusing to move it. The officer arrived and made contact with the owner of the vehicle, who promptly moved it.

11:00am: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call from 704 West South Street. The officer made contact with a couple, who advised they had been involved in a verbal argument, but needed no assistance from the officer.

136pm: The Cobblestone Hotel, located at 771 Wild Rose Lane, reported a female subject has been loitering in the parking lot since Wednesday. They reported she has been coming in the Hotel requesting coffee and use of a phone. The officer made contact with the subject, who advised of vehicle problems and being stranded in town. The subject refused any assistance from the officer. She was advised to remove the vehicle from the private property, or they may have her car towed.

6:48pm: The Greene County Medical Center reported a suspicious vehicle parked at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street, with occupants inside. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

7:22pm: An officer checked on a Business Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. All was fine at the facility.

7:39pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle that had Dark Windows in the 200 Block of West Central Ave. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Joshua Jay Blumberg, 22 of Callender for, “Driving While Barred – Aggravated and Dark Windows – Simple.”
