A late Friday afternoon house fire resulted in no injuries for a Stuart family.
According to the Stuart Fire Department, just after 5pm the fire began in the southeast corner of the house at 1986 Stuart Road. The fire spread to a nearby dog house and the chimney. The renters of the home noticed the fire immediately and everyone got out safely, including the two dogs.
While the origin of the fire is still unofficial at this time, crews say they believe the blaze began in a wood burning stove. The renters tell Raccoon Valley Radio they had just installed smoke alarms hours before the fire began. Some siding in the area of the fire was damaged, as was a shop attached onto the house. The dog house was also a total loss. The home is owned by Glenn E. Boss. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information, as it becomes official.
