Wednesday, March 21st
1:54am: A Traffic Stop in the 200 Block of West Clark Street led to the arrest of the driver. The officer stopped the vehicle due to a Registration Plate Lamp Violation. During the stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a Probable Cause Search of the vehicle, the officer located suspected marijuana and a loaded handgun. The officer arrested John Taylor Roberts, 19 of Scranton for, “Carrying Weapons-Aggravated Possession of Controlled Substance/Marijuana 1 st Offense-Serious, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Simple, and Improper Registration Plate Lamp-Simple.”
10:02am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 900 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.
10:40am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
11:18am: Janon Olson reported an overnight Criminal Mischief occurring to her garage door at 606 North Olive Street. She provided the officer with a suspect. The officer is investigating.
7:22pm: An officer arrested Paul Nelson, 43 of Jefferson at 707 West South Street on an outstanding Jefferson Police Department for, “Theft 5th Degree – Simple.” The charge is for a reported theft of car mats from the Jefferson Car Wash on March 14th , 2018.
7:58pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of East Central Ave.
10:09pm: The GCMC Emergency Room requested assistance from an officer for a patient who was being unruly.
Thursday, March 22nd
12:31am: An officer located an open door at 1503 North Elm Street.
8:30am: The Jefferson Police Department began assisting DHS with an investigation.
1:10pm: Officers assisted with a medical call and transporting a patient to the Greene County Medical Center ER from the 100 block of South Wilson Avenue.
1:30pm: An officer completed a welfare check at 102 East Washington Street.
1:37pm: Allan Scott reported a stray cat in the 900 block of West State Street.
4:05pm: Adam Glawe reported kids hanging out underneath the North Elm Street Overpass.
4:12pm: Home State Bank Staff reported possible fraudulent activity. An officer is investigating.
4:44pm: Caryolyn Berry reported a possible phone scam.
7:49pm: Staff at Sparkys reported a possible intoxicated driver that was asleep in his vehicle in their parking lot. It was found the male was tired and taking a nap.
10:02pm: Staff at Shopko reported a possible theft. An officer is investigating.
All charges are merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
