Honorary Survivor, Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks at the 2017 Dallas County Relay for Life event

Dallas County Relay for Life is in the midst of one fundraiser and has a few more coming soon.

Running now through March 28th, you can take part in their “Egg My House” fundraiser. Relay representatives will deliver candy-filled plastic eggs to you on March 31st, and if you want they can even hide them for you. The cost is $20 per 40 eggs, and they can be purchased in multiple increments. If you’re interested in taking part in “Egg My House,” contact Gary and Tracy Iles by email at gtmkiles@q.com.

More Relay for Life fundraisers will follow in April. On April 12th and 13th, there will be a bake sale at the Family Credit Union in Perry during their normal business hours. That will be followed on the 14th with the annual “Create for Life” event at the McCreary Community Building. The latter event will run from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., and will give participants 12 hours to scrapbook, quilt, or do any other craft they wish to bring. There will be two meals, snacks, and beverages included in your registration cost. For more information or to register, contact Misty VonBehren at the Perry Public Library at 515-465-3569, or Kathy Miller at 515-822-6097.
