Anyone driving north or south on Highway 169 near the “four corners” area has probably noticed some recent construction.
What you may not have known is that this is the newest building for Van Wall Equipment. Van Wall Owner Don Van Houweling says the new building is being built with their used machinery in mind. “One of our keys is to make sure that that preowned equipment does not sit outside. So it’s our goal that that equipment that we trade-in is kept under (a) roof so it doesn’t age or deteriorate based on weather and outside influence. So that facility is designed to take care of and cover approximately 24 large combines and planters. And in addition, since we bought the whole corner east of the drive, we will use that as an area to also display some of our new equipment in front of the building. So we’ll use it for two purposes.”
Van Houweling adds, it’s fairly easy to see their facility while driving on Highway 141, but the same can’t be said for Highway 169. He believes the new building will help bring in the business of anyone driving any direction in the four corners area. The new Van Wall building should be done soon, and shortly after they will begin putting the machinery inside.
