panoraThe Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Council approved the second reading of an ordinance that would disallow the operation of golf carts on City streets. At the time of the meeting, City Administrator Lisa Grossman had not received any comments on the ordinance. The Council also approved the sale of a 1996 Ford F350 pickup truck for $1,200. The Council then appointed Dave Beidelman to the Planning and Zoning Board. There are still two vacancies on that board and anyone interested in filling those positions should contact City Hall.

The Council ended the regular meeting with a lengthy discussion on sidewalk enhancements. The meeting concluded with updates from Emergency Medical Services Coordinator Joe Hupp.
