The members of the 2017-18 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball team gathered one final time as an organized group Thursday night in the ADM middle school commons. The Tigers celebrated the team’s recent 3-19 campaign with a potluck dinner as head coach Aaron Mager highlighted the team’s accomplishments and handed out honorable mention all-conference certificates to senior Rylan Heffernan and junior Koby Hardcastle.
Mager spoke to Raccoon Valley Radio after the banquet ended and he continued to praise the quality of people this year’s senior class entailed. “I can tell you with confidence that in 20 years every one of these guys is going to be a good professional, good husband, they’ll be good fathers,” Mager said, “That means more than how many wins and losses you had in 2017-18, Although, we wanted to do better, and I’m not dismissing that, but these guys are good kids and great people.”
The Tigers boys basketball season ended in the opening round of the Class 3A Substate 8 bracket against state qualifier Glenwood, 92-36, on February 19 in Glenwood. ADM says goodbye to expected graduating seniors Grant Curran, Zach Ferguson, Rylan Heffernan, Caleb Herrick, Dalton Hews, Zach Klocke, Cole Knoll, Micah Moyer, and Cade Stine-Smith,
