The Panora City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will conduct the public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2018-2019 budget. They will then seek approval on the resolution adopting the City’s budget ending June 30th, 2019. The Council will also conduct the first reading on an ordinance disallowing golf cart operations on City streets. There was extensive discussion on this topic and liability concerns were brought forward by the City Attorney and Police Chief at the previous meeting. Other action items include various appointments and replacing a City held truck.

The meeting begins at 5:15pm at Panora City Hall. This is a special meeting time, as the Council will facilitate a goal-setting workshop until approximately 6:30, the normal time for the meeting. Both the workshop and usual business are open to the public.
