The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will resume discussions on Mitchell Park renovation plans. The proposed renovations include: restroom upgrades, a musical playground, a 9-hole disc golf course, a new pool house, a pedestrian trail, sand volleyball area, and resurfacing the basketball and tennis courts.

The Council will then discuss a possible amendment to the  sidewalk ordinances. Mayor Dennis Kunkle and the Council have fielded several comments on the matter and will use this time to try to find a better solution to the current ordinances. The Council will conclude the meeting with discussion on contractors for mowing and snow removal, as well as a personnel discussion on the possibility of new office staff.

The meeting begins at 6:30 pm in Guthrie Center City Hall.
