Winter anglers will just have just ten days to wrap up ice fishing. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources mandates that all permanent ice structures must be removed from Iowa lakes and waterways by February 20th.

The DNR encourages owners not to wait until the last minute to get their shelters off the ice. If a shelter falls through the ice, the owner is responsible for getting it out of the lake or waterway. For more information, contact the DNR.
