Friday, February 2nd
12:34am: An officer checked on two semi-tractor/trailers parked in the 500 Block of West Clark Street. They were waiting for the Iowa DOT Facility to open to make deliveries there.
7:43am: Ron Clipperton reported his Pomeranian was missing from 108 East Central #74.
8:47am: Alexis Olson reported a stray dog in her yard at 302 South High Street. The owner was contacted since the officer could not get near the animal without it running from him. Shelly Gilbertson of Jefferson was issued citations for, “Animal Running at Large and Annual Animal License Requirement.”
6:25pm: Maria Moralas spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring at 706 West Madison Street.
8:40pm: Susan Herrick requested a Welfare Check on her dogs at 407 South Olive Street. The officer is working to make contact with her son at the residence.
8:58pm: The Greene County Medical Center requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way to help deal with a 10 year old patient, who was out of control. The subject was under control when the officer arrived.
9:53pm: Casey’s reported a vehicle with a flat tire sitting in the parking lot all day at 508 North Elm Street. The officer is attempting to locate an owner to remove the vehicle.
10:29pm: Amanda Rumley spoke with an officer about contact a female and ending unwanted text messages from her. The officer made contact with the other party to end the issue.
11:51pm: Michelle Wenger requested a Welfare Check on her adult son at 207 West Gallop Road. The officer made contact with the male, who advised he was fine.
Saturday, February 3rd
12:17am: A caller advised of an Audible Alarm Activation at 104 North Locust Street. A Key Holder was contacted to reset the alarm. All was fine at the business.
6:13am: A caller advised of a large pool of water standing at Wilson and Central Ave. The officer contacted the water department for the potential water main break.
3:19pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on a Husky at 306 North West Street. The animal had food, water, and shelter.
8:57pm: An officer placed two dogs in the Animal Holding Facility that were dropped off at the LEC. The dogs had been picked up near Scranton.
10:48pm: Melinda Madison requested a Welfare Check on a toddler at 203 South West Street. The officer checked on the toddler and found him to be fine.
Sunday, February 4th
12:45am: Casey’s reported a truck sitting in their lot for an extended period of time at 508 North Elm Street. The officer contacted the owner and the vehicle was removed.
4:14am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 303 North Elm Street. An employee had set of the alarm while opening the business up for the day.
7:52am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 403 West Head Street. A Key Holder was contacted. All was fine at the business.
8:34am: An officer advised city crews of a possible water main break on Deer Run.
9:15am: An officer assisted the Perry PD by providing information on a suspect involved in a Theft in Perry on 01/04/2018.
10:42am: April Hopkins spoke with an officer about ways to get a No Contact Order. The officer provided her with the information.
12:25pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of North West Street.
2:00pm: Mayra Hernadez spoke to an officer about her adult daughter, who was missing in Des Moines. The officer passed the information on the Des Moines PD.
5:54pm: Jessica Duong caught a stray cat at 106 West Washington Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
******* An officer completed an investigation that began on 12/23/2017. The officer had responded to a vehicle in the ditch on 220 th Street, near M Ave. The officer had gathered a Urine Specimen for testing. Tests results are back and warrants have been requested for John Edward Walker, 66 of Guthrie Center for, “OWI 1st Offense – Serious, Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana 1st Offense – Serious, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.”
******* Test results are back on items seized during a Traffic Stop on 11/26/2017. Arrest Warrants have been requested for Michael Ivan Venteicher, 60 of Jefferson for, Possession of Controlled Substance/Meth 1st Offense – Serious, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple, and Obstructing Prosecution – Aggravated.”
