The ACGC wrestling squad hit the mats in Ogden, beginning the postseason at the 1A Section 1 tournament. Seth Danker (106) was the only Charger to make it through the gauntlet.
In the quarterfinal round, Danker defeated South-Hamilton Jewell’s Mohamed Yokie by fall in the final minute of the match. The freshman then defeated Panorama’s Logan Christie in the semifinal by fall at 1:23. Martensdale-St. Mary’s Cael Cassady defeated Danker by fall at 1:33 in the 1st place match, but he rebounded in the second place match to defeat Colfax-Mingo’s Noah Strohmeyer by an 8-2 decision. Danker earns a spot in the District tournament, at home in Guthrie Center.
Zach Fees (132) placed third, while Cale Rowley (113), Blaine Beeler (120), and Gabe Rowley (138) all finished in fourth.
