The high school sports postseason begins today with Sectional Wrestling tournament in Classes 1A and 2A. Greene County wrestles at 12 p.m. at a 2A Sectional in Winterset. The top two individuals in each of the 14 weight classes move on to the Feb. 10 District tournament in Harlan at 12 p.m. The top two teams advance to the Feb. 6 dual meet Regional.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released basketball pairings for the postseason in 1A and 2A. Greene County is seeded fourth among six teams in 2A District 15 and will play Panorama in Woodward on Monday, Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Panthers had five wins against 13 losses entering the weekend, while the Rams were 11-7. The winner meets top seeded Des Moines Christian at DMC in Urbandale at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15. The bottom part of the bracket has ACGC and Woodward-Granger meeting on Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. in Woodward, with Woodward Academy meeting the winner at DMC at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Paton-Churdan is in 1A District 15 and meets Glidden-Ralston in Glidden on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. The winner goes to rural Neola to face Boyer Valley (Dunlap) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15.
