Preparations for this summer’s county fairs and 4-H exhibitions continue with required Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) training for Guthrie County 4-H’ers. All Guthrie County 4-H’ers showing: swine, beef, dairy, goats, sheep, poultry, and rabbits require certification to showcase at the Guthrie County Fair, Iowa State Fair, and Ak-Sar-Ben.
Training sessions are scheduled for Thursday, February 15th from 6:30-8pm and Monday, February 19th from 10-11:30am. Both trainings will be held at the Community Building at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. FSQA testing will precede training on February 15th from 3-4:30pm and follow training on February 19th from 1-4:30pm at the Extension Office in Guthrie Center.
