The Adel-Desoto-Minburn (ADM) Tigers girls basketball team (7-10 overall; 6-4 RRC) took another positive step forward Friday night inside the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers made an in county trip to Perry for a league showdown against the Jayettes. ADM overcame a fast start by Perry, winning the rematch with the Jayettes, 53-42. ADM and Perry traded the lead seven times in the first half as the Tigers led 25-23 at halftime. The Tigers outscored the Jayettes, 28-19, in the second half to pull out the victory. Sophomore Abbie Hlas led ADM with 18 points. Hlas also recorded six rebounds, three steals, and one assist. Sophomore Delaney Bertman added 13 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. The win gives the Tigers their first three-game winning streak of the season, improving their overall record to 7-10 and are now 6-4 in the Raccoon River Conference standings. ADM’s boy’s basketball team (3-12 overall; 0-10 RRC) lost to Perry in the second game, 70-62, in overtime. The loss drops the Tigers boys basketball team to 3-12 overall. The ADM basketball teams close out their January schedule at home against the Carroll Tigers Tuesday.
