A reminder for any artist or aspiring artists, there’s still time to apply for this year’s Jefferson Matters: Main Street Ring Out for Art Contest.
Preliminary plans and designs are encouraged for the application process to enter this year’s contest. Once the application process is complete, then a committee will narrow the sculpture choices to the top six. All finalists will then have their sculpture displayed on the northside of the Greene County Courthouse during the Bell Tower Festival. The top three will be chosen by popular vote.
Prize money is sponsored by Home State Bank with $2,000 for first place, second place will receive $1,000 and $500 for third. The deadline to submit an application is March 12th. The entry fee is $25 and a copy of the application can be found below.
