GCC-WinterThe Guthrie County Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

Dale Behrends of Guthrie County State Bank informed the Board on an access road to R A Carper Land. The road runs through portions of the county farm and the Board wanted to know the reason for the access and whether there was an easement on it or not. Assistant County Attorney Tim Benton was also present to give recommendations on different types of easements and access procedures. The land trust has been in existence since 1935 and all profits are donated to local charities. The Board took no formal action on the topic.

The Board also approved: the second quarter expenditure report for the 2018 fiscal year and the semi-annual report for the county substance abuse prevention grant; and a resolution rescinding and revising the 28E agreement between Guthrie and Cass counties for environmental health services. The Board then reappointed Supervisor Clifford Carney to the Loess Hills Development and Conservation Authority.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on budgeting for county mental health services, including financial planning with Audubon and Dallas counties, as well as funding sources for Genesis Development.
