A Jefferson couple made a donation to the local parks and recreation department.
Doctors Chad and Ashley Schwander of Jefferson Family Chiropractic donated $500 to the Jefferson Parks and Rec Department to purchase new soccer equipment. Chad explains why he and his wife wanted to make the donation.
“Our kids have been playing soccer for several years now, and they’ve really enjoyed it and have gotten a lot out of it. I’ve been doing some coaching with them as well. We just really wanted to give back to the parks and rec department and show our appreciation for everything that they’ve done for our kids. We just thought this was a really nice way to do that.”
Parks and Rec Assistant Director Sean Ostendorf talks about using the funds to improve their youth soccer program.
“So anytime you can have a new ball, or new goals, and for the goals aspect it makes the community look even better, when we have teams coming in from Ogden and different areas. We’re really, really excited and what a fantastic thing they did for us.”
Ostendorf adds that if anyone wants to make a donation to the parks and rec department, contact him at the Greene County Community Center.
