Thursday evening, the gallery of La Poste in Perry was filled with trivia enthusiasts hoping to win bragging rights and Perry Bucks.
The Friends of the Perry Public Library hosted their latest edition of Trivia with Friends, and ten teams showed up to compete in the event. The contest had eight categories ranging from Dinosaurs, to the Nobel Prize, to Alfred Hitchcock movies. Raccoon Valley Radio General Manager John McGee served as emcee for the event, which held some challenging questions and good-natured competition. By the end of the event, a group calling themselves “Aye Queue” emerged victorious, winning $20 in Perry Bucks for each player on the team.
Library Director Mary Murphy said they made nearly $700 from the fundraiser, before calculating their expenses. All the proceeds will benefit the Friends group, which helps pay for the various programs and events at the Perry Library throughout the year.
