West Central Valley Wildcat

Less than 24 hours after a lopsided loss to Des Moines Christian, the West Central Valley girls basketball team (7-8 overall) returned the court in Madrid. The Wildcats squared off against the Tigers in a West Central Activities Conference contest. West Central Valley edged Madrid in the varsity girls contest, 56-49. Sophomore Sydney Neal topped West Central Valley’s scoring column with 15 points, while senior Grace Dupuy added 13 in the victory. The win improves the Wildcats overall record to 7-8. The West Central Valley boys basketball team fell in the nightcap versus Madrid, 67-50. Senior Brock Wolfe led the Wildcats with 12 points, dropping their overall record to 2-13 overall. The West Central Valley basketball teams return to the floor Tuesday in Stuart against the Van Meter Bulldogs.
