DCH Volunteer

Dallas County Hospital isn’t shy about giving praise, and to that end they recently announced their Employees and Volunteers of the Year.

Those recognized went above and beyond during 2017 to earn the recognition, according to hospital officials. Jody Hollar and Myles Hegstrom were honored as the Employees of the Year. A specific instance that helped them earn the recognition was when they worked together to ensure a patient’s spouse and service dog made it home safely while the patient was being transferred. DCH officials felt it was indicative of their mission to show compassion and personal service to each patient.

The Volunteers of the Year honors were given to Lenny Sotto, Ross Benson, and Holly Tice. Throughout 2017, DCH staff provided 422 hours of volunteering throughout the community, and 69 of those hours were provided by the three individuals. Over 30 staff members participated in projects during the year, and DCH was thankful to them for taking time out of their busy schedules to help the community.
