All last month, a forest of holiday trees filled Guthrie Center’s Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library. Now that the holiday season has come and gone, the library has announced the top three trees based on patrons’ votes.
In a close competition, with just one vote separating each of the top four entries, the library’s Lego Club tree received the most votes. Guthrie County Relay for Life and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center’s FCCLA received second and third respectively for their trees. FCCLA’s tree was arguably the most unique, featuring a ladder and a few ornaments. All three will share $50 in Guthrie Center Chamber Bucks.
