The struggles inside the West Central Activities Conference continued Friday night for the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team (1-9 overall). The Panthers hosted the Woodward Academy Knights in their first of two conference meetings. Panorama squandered a five-point halftime lead, falling to Woodward Academy, 72-55. The Panthers led 33-28 at intermission but were outscored 44-22 in the second half including 25-10 in the third quarter. Junior Gracen Welberg scored a team-best 13 points to lead Panorama. Sophomore Malachi Peasley chipped in 12 points while freshman Zac Rizzuti added 10 in the loss. The outcome is the eighth straight loss for the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team, dropping their overall record to 1-9. Panorama returns to the floor Tuesday in a West Central Activities Conference matchup against the Des Moines Christian Lions (9-1 overall).
