A new business will open its doors in a historic downtown Stuart building on Monday.

Linden Street Sweets, a cupcake and ice cream shop, will open Monday from 5-9pm at the corner of 2nd and Division streets. The shop will have a limited menu and hours for the rest of the month, with regular hours to start Monday, February 5th.

The building previously housed the Dr. Treat Pharmacy, a grocery store, Nopps Soda Grille, and the Kozy Korner Kafe. According to local historian Bob Cook, the building is also the second oldest in Stuart. Owner Kasey Jensen has made a variety of unique and classic cupcake creations, including: wedding cake, Reeses peanut butter cup, monster cookie, and maple bacon.
