The ACGC wrestling team’s holiday break will finally come to an end tonight when the Chargers head to Exira for regular season duals. The slate pits the Chargers against ASHTW, Griswold, and the host Spartans.

The Chargers’ dual record sits at 6-10. ACGC started the season off at 4-1 in duals, but have dropped nine of their last eleven matches. The Chargers are led by a trio of lower weight class wrestlers. Seth Danker and Blaine Beeler each come into the duals with a 15-6 record, while Easton Benson enters with a 10-1 record and should return after a brief injury spell. The Chargers have not met any of the three teams in dual action this year, but have squared off against ASHTW and Griswold in individual tournaments.

The Chargers will also head to Coon Rapids this Saturday for the Crusader Invitational. The tournament features West Central Activities Conference and Guthrie County rivals Panorama and West Central Valley. The field also includes: Audubon, East Sac County, English Valleys, Exira/EHK, Riverside, South Central Calhoun, and hosts Coon Rapids-Bayard. The duals begin tonight at 5:30pm in Exira, and Saturday’s invitational in Coon Rapids begins at 10am.
