The traditional Perry colors are red, blue and white.  The standard Ballard colors are red, navy blue and white.  So why will there be so much purple in the stands tonight?  Purple is the official color of Alzheimer’s Awareness and tonight has been designated as Awareness night at the Perry Sports Pavilion.  Fans are encouraged to wear purple and contribute to Alzheimer awareness.  There will be a 60-second fundraiser to recognize the fact that every 66 seconds someone in the United States develops the disease.  There will be fundraisers in place during the night and day of the game.  There was a staff jeans day on Thursday and fans will have the chance to shoot a 3-point shot during the girls game for a dollar with a chance to win Subway 6 inch sandwich.  The first 20 baskets will be winners.  The stakes get even higher during the boys game with a half court shot with the winner earning a subway party platter.  There will be an information booth with wrist bands, a remembrance wall and Alzheimer’s Association pamphlets.

The Perry boys state championship team from 1988 will celebrate their 30th anniversary tonight was players, fans and coaches reunite for a special weekend of fun.
