Don’t forget, this Friday is the “Bluejays Reunite and Remember” event at Perry High School to support Alzheimer’s Disease research.

The event is a fundraiser for the Greater Iowa Alzheimer’s Association, as well as a reunion for the 1988 boys state basketball championship team. Fans are encouraged to wear purple during the boys and girls varsity basketball doubleheader against Ballard to show their support. Fundraisers for the event include: $1 halftime shoots, where people can win prizes from Subway if they make 3-point or half-court shots; a 66 Second fundraiser, which signifies the fact that every 66 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with the disease; and a staff jeans day fundraiser, where school employees can pay $5 to wear jeans to school on Thursday.
