With the first snowfall of the winter come and gone, the county fair scene seems pretty distant. However, fair preparations are already underway in Adair County. Adair County Iowa State University Extension will hold their market beef weigh-in for 4-H and FFA members Wednesday at the Adair County Fairgrounds.

All market steers and market heifers must be tagged and weighed to be eligible for exhibit at the 2018 Adair County Fair next July. Iowa State Fair and AK-SAR-BEN market beef will weigh from 9-9:30 am, while county fair exclusive weigh-ins will take place from 9:30-11:30 am. Contact Adair County Extension for more information.
