Iowa State University’s College of Engineering recently released its list of outstanding seniors for the fall of 2017 semester, and a Perry graduate was among those honored.

Cole Tenold, a mechanical engineering major from Perry, was among the twelve honorees for the current semester. According to ISU, Tenold has held several leadership roles in his time at school, including becoming a founding member of the university’s Chinese Language Club. He studied abroad in China and has worked with Chinese manufacturers over the years. He will continue that work after graduation, as he already has a job lined up as a design engineer with HUSCO International in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He will be developing hydraulic control valve solutions for the Asian off-highway equipment market.

The ISU College of Engineering honors 12 seniors at the end of each semester, one of whom is selected to serve as the college’s student marshal at the undergraduate commencement ceremony.
