For all those last-minute shoppers out there, the Perry Chamber of Commerce offers a very simple gift idea: Perry Bucks.
Chamber Board President Emily Leslie believes Perry Bucks are an ideal way to shop for your loved ones, while also helping local business. “A Perry Buck, in case someone doesn’t know, can be used around the community of Perry, and it’s just like money. So $5 is $5. Perry Bucks also help the continued growth of the community, and the entrepreneurs and the businesses that are in Perry, to keep that money inside the community in which they live and work. Also, they make great stocking stuffers! I mean they’re just like a gift card you would purchase anywhere else, but it’s exclusive to Perry and that’s what we want to promote!”
Leslie adds, there’s already around $20,000-worth of Perry Bucks in circulation right now, which she feels is a great sign that people are eager to keep their money local. To get Perry Bucks, stop by the Chamber office in the Towncraft Building in downtown Perry.
