A recent graduate of Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools is continuing his basketball career at a community college in eastern Iowa. Tajen Ross, a 2017 ADM graduate, has started in all 12 games this winter as a true freshman for the Kirkwood Community College Eagles men’s basketball program in Cedar Rapids. The Eagles record currently stands at 8-4 overall.
Ross, a first-team All-Raccoon River Conference performer last season, is averaging 14.4 points per game and has converted 42 of his 49 free throw attempts (85.7%). He’s recorded more than 20 points in game three times, featuring 22 points scored in Kirkwood’s latest contest on December 13, a 70-62 loss to Southeastern Community College.
The Kirkwood Community College men’s basketball team resumes their season on Tuesday, January 2, hosting the Pride of Clarke University.
