All bridges are now open in Greene County.
County Engineer Wade Weiss says all three bridge projects that were worked on this year have been completed and are open to motorists.
The E-39 bridge by Ralston opened last week. The $500,000 project widened the bridge from 24-feet to 30-feet-six-inches. The E-57 bridge over Greenbrier Creek opened earlier this week. Weiss has previously mentioned that this bridge was in the plans to be done next year, but due to an crash involving a Pepsi truck colliding with the guardrail, the project was pushed up to this year. That project cost $500,000.
The third bridge project was another replacement on N-65 by Hyde Park. It was a $2.2 million project that began in January and was completed in October. Weiss says they were doing some pavement patching on N-65, 11 miles north to the county line.

“That’s going to cease here shortly and resume in the spring to complete that project. That’s a $1.5 million project. So that segment of road is getting a lot of attention.”
Additionally, Weiss says pavement patching on E-57 near the bridge replacement project will also have to be finished next spring.
