ADM Tigers

We are two games into the high school boys basketball season for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers, and you can already see the effect fourth-quarter play has had on the team’s final result. The Tigers dropped their overall record to 1-1 after a 57-52 setback Friday at Ballard. ADM won their season opener in comeback fashion over Pella Chrisitan, 65-63, last Tuesday in Adel.

Tuesday saw the Tigers outscore the Eagles 17-4 in the final eight minutes, changing an 11 point deficit into a two-point victory. Fast forward to Friday were ADM saw themselves in a shootout fourth quarter with Ballard. Tied at 32, ADM posted a season-high 20 points in the final frame. However, the Tiger defense allowed 25 points, including nine made free throws, in their first loss of the season. Rylan Heffernan is ADM’s top fourth-quarter scorer with 17 points total in two games, converting five of seven from the free throw line. Koby Hardcastle has pitched in 12 points, and Logan Crannell has added four.

The ADM boys basketball team resumes their season Thursday, traveling to Alleman for a nonconference battle versus the North Polk Comets. Catch ADM basketball broadcasts all season long on True Country, K 107.9 and worldwide at raccoonvalleyradio.com and on the KKRF mobile app.
